GOOD RESULT FOR ANTONIO VIOLA IN UMAG, SECOND PLACE BEHIND SCHAFER

Another good placement from Istrian Spring Trophy for Vini Fantini – NIPPO – De Rosa Team. Now the return in Italy for GP Nobili and Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.

(UMAG) – The Istrian race of Vini Fantini – NIPPO – De Rosa Team, directed by DS Alessandro Spezialetti, had already provided good indications in recent days thanks to the double placement ofAlessandro Bisolti that, in the two "strong stage" of Istrian Spring Trophy, had confirmed his climber attitude remains in contact with the best riders of the group. Today, in the last 157km from Pazin to Umag, "Blue Mountain" Team riders did even better thanks to the 2nd place of Antonio Viola in the sprint dominated by Stefan Schafer (LKT Team Brandenburg).

"Today all team worked very well and we were hoping to win the race – these are the words of sprinter Antonio Viola – In the final I was a little closed, and taking some risks, I tried to find the right gate. I have to thank all my teammates, especially Alessandro Bisolti that has really made a great number putting me in good conditions to play my sprint. Hopefully the first win of the season can arrive early". This is the first podium of the season for Vini Fantini – NIPPO – De Rosa Team and after the good progress made last week on North, the Team confirmed an always growing physical and mental condition.

The winners of the Istrian Spring Trophy, final round of the "Croatian triptych", is the young Danish Magnus Cort Nielsen, 10th place on General Classification for Alessandro Bisolti.

After croatian race the italian-japanese Team will return in Italy to race on GP Nobili Rubinetterie and Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali before OCBC Cycle Singapore.
