The young rider prognosis is reserved, he is at Pescara Hospital
The young rider of Under 23 Team Fantini – NIPPO – De Rosa, Andrea Di Renzo, was training on the roads near Altino when something went wrong. He felt down and he hit heavly his head losing, therefore, consciousness.
He went to the Civil Hospital of Pescara, by helicopter. Now he is in critical conditions. The Team Doctor Fabrizio Ripari, from the Sports Medicine University of Chieti, talked with his colleagues of the Pescara Hospital. Andrea has a double fracture: at the cheekbone and jaw. Unfortunately now it’s no possible to keep on operating because of his serious conditions. It has been also suspected a fracture of a vertebra.
The Team is closed to Andrea and hope to have him back in the group, as soon as possible.
