After two important placements slovenian athlete Grega Bole gets the seal demonstrating once again his potential. Here comes another victory in Circuit des Ardennes, dominated by “Blue Mountain” Team.
Today Grega Bole has placed the winning thrust giving the second joy to Vini Fantini – NIPPO – De Rosa Team after the victory of Pierpaolo De Negri in the opening stage. The strong slovenian athlete born in 1985 was also protagonist in the 1st stage helping Pierpaolo De Negri to take the first victory of the season and yesterday, when only a moment of hesitation had prevented him to play for the win. This morning, in the first of two semi-stages, Grega Bole won in Monthermè crowning this really high profile three days. Thanks to the perfect work of the team, all gathered around him, Grega Bole resisted uphill and in the final sprint was the fastest finding the first win with Vini Fantini – NIPPO – De Rosa jersey.
"I’m very happy for this victory – said Grega Bole, excited after the stage – I’m still looking for the perfect race-rhythm, but after being away from racing for a few months it’s normal. Yesterday’s stage was hard, but we wanted to win today! Here I found a special group and I have to thank all my teammates because even today they were perfect. For the last stage of this afternoon we have many athletes able to play for the sprint and we want to win again!"
Grega Bole’s victory, added to today blackout of Troels Vinther, puts the slovenian also on second place in General Classification behind Lukasz Wisniowski. This afternoon will end the 40th edition of Circuit des Ardennes with 107km starting and finishing in Charleville – Mezieres, in the heart of the Ardennes.
