The Slovenian rider Grega Bole, back to NIPPO Vini Fantini in 2016 season, signed the first success of the season for the team. Great race of all the team, today also in the first escape with Genki Yamamoto.

Winning seasonal debut on Italian roads for the NIPPO Vini Fantini team, that after Argentina and Australia races begin the season of Italian races with a victory. The attitude and determination #OrangeBlue were noticed since from the begin of the race with the escape of the day from Genki Yamamoto.
The great action is made by Grega Bole, that remains covered for all the race, going inside the right action. In the final part he is able to close on all the other riders winning a long sprint in front of Gavazzi (Androni-Sidermec) and Ulissi (Lampre-Merida).
Stefano Giuliani, has been leading the team from the team car:
“I’m very happy of how the team worked for all the day. What we said in the morning we did in the race. A rider as Grega was missing to complete the puzzle and have strongest team. In Argentina we have done a good job, and here in Donoratico in the first Italian race we won. Greg Bole is a great rider and when he his in this great condition is very difficult that he fails. It is great to come back enjoy the victory together with him. I want to mention also Genki Yamamoto for another good escape after the one in Argentina. The young talented Japanese rider is growing up.”
Grega Bole declared:
“I want to thank all the team because the help me to be exactly where I had to be when I had be there. Once taken the good action I decided to close on each tentative of my competitors until the last km, also risking to finish my leg for the final sprint, but it was the only way to win. It is great to win with the team that most of all wanted me.”
