Third place with some regrets for Damiano Cunego in the Giro dell’Appennino. A great action on the climb of the Bocchetta that don’t let chance to anyone to stay with him. Without collaboration of the other escaper he close in third position.
A race faced without many use of tactics for Damiano Cunego, strong of a great condition and motivation to win. The #OrangeBlue captain didn’t find collaboration in his escape and six other riders come back to him on the last 3 km. With a strong motivation after this long action Damiano Cunego reached the third place.
Stefano Giuliani, on the team car, give this analysis to the race. “There is a little bit of regrets after a day dominated by the NIPPO Vini Fantini team. Before the team close on a long escape, then Damiano with a great action on the Bocchetta climb. He made the difference, no one was able to stay with hime. So its a pity to not have won this race, but is a Damiano Cunego that has found condition, motivation and trust in his talent. He miss only some luck, but going on in that way also he will find also this.”
Today has begun also the Tour of Turkey with an arrival with a sprint. For the #OrangeBlue a good race of the young talent Nicolas Marini that close on the 17th position.
