LA SPEZIA (SP) – 18th of January 2016, Wild Card for Giro d’Italia 2016 are now official. The NIPPO Vini Fantini will ride the Pink Ride, from 6 to 29 of May, with official start on The Netherlands and arrival in Turin. An important confirmation received from the team with the double soul Italian-Japanese, a project that to grow up and consolidate cannot miss such important events as the Giro d’Italia. The project that have Damiano Cunego as a leader for the growth of the young Italian and Japanese talents, looking forward to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, will have the Giro d’Italia 2016 as one of most important basis for his future.
The first one to demonstrate his happiness on social networks has been Damiano Cunego, ready to ride for the Giro d’Italia for the 11^ time:

The General Manager, Francesco Pelosi, comments about the Wild Card:

We are proud to participate and we will prepare our season to be at the top of the condition in the month of May to ride a great Giro d’Italia, starting from a Fir Play attitude as in 2015 when we have been the Fair Play team, but with the confidence to reach better results, having lots of young talents ready to improve.”
The Sports Director Stefano Giuliani received the news in Argentina, where the team is preparing the official season debut in the Tour de San Luis: “We are now in Argentina, ready to start the new season in San Luis and we received from Italy this great news. This is the best way as possibile to begin the season and gives us more motivation. I’m really happy for the invitation because I’m sure that our young talents are now ready, after their growth in 2015, to afford in the best way this competition. Damiano Cunego is a rediscovered captain and he really wants to take important results in this 2015. We also have important new riders, such as the new leader Grega Bole and the Japanese young talented group that will take to the Giro d’Italia a new talent. We are a team really motivated, that will attack and animate to race with his leaders.”
