Second edition of the Hammer Series and second invitation in a row for the NIPPO Vini Fantini Europa Ovini team, the only Italian team at the start of both races, in 2017 in Limburg and in 2018 in Norway. From the 25th to the 27th of May in Norway the second race of the format studied to put in competition the best teams in the world. In the first edition a good 8th place for the #OrangeBlue team, first among Professional teams, in front of 4 World Tour teams.

Weeks of important invitations for the NIPPO Vini Fantini Europa Ovini team. After the invitations to the Amstel Gold Race and Tour de Suisse, both races of World Tour category, now is time for the Italian-Japanese team to be invited for the second year in a row to Hammer Series, the very important competition organized by Velon, that will take place on 25th to 27th May in Stavanger, in Norway.
THE HAMMER SERIES.
From 25 – 27 May Hammer Series will be held in Stavanger, Norway for the first time. Several of the best teams in the world will travel to Stavanger and the fight for victory will be tough. Whichever team leaves with overall victory, can rightly call themselves one of the strongest teams in the world, if not, the strongest. As usual in the race organized by Velon, the first day will be dedicated to the climbers with a 8km of circuit and 10 laps. Each lap will give points to the team of the first riders to cross the line. The second day will be for sprinters, 10 laps of 10km each. The third day the Hammer Chase will assign the tile of “Best Team”.

The NIPPO Vini Fantini Europa Ovini team is the only Italian team to start both the editions of the Hammer Series. In 2017 the format started in Limburg in The Netherlands where the team made a very good performance closing with a final 8th, in from of 4 World Tour teams as the first of the Professional team in race. A big motivation and determination that gives the chance to the Italian-Japanese team to be invited again also for the second race of this brand new cycling format.
