In the first tour of the season the #BlueMountain team has prove all his desire to emerge, with four placements in the top ten of stages and two important escapes.
The #OrangeBlue team played an important role in many stages of this Tour de San Luis. Since from the first stage a very good start for Nicolas Marini (4th) just behind Gaviria, Cavendish and Modolo. In stages 3 and 4 it has been the other neo-pro of the team, Giacomo Berlato, one of the “main character” of the race with 2 long escape. In the stage 3 also other important placement for Eduard Grosu and Nicolas Marini (5th and 6th). The tour concludes with an important placement behind all great names. "We are happy of our debut – explains Stefano Giuliani, back in Italy – because we have been competitive and main characters of all the race. Our very young group worked very well, proving the great potential that we have in our group. With some more luck and without the bad fall of Grosu I’m sure that we could do even better, but we do not complain about it, we are already thinking about all the work that we have to do to build up a great spring."
After the great enthusiasm of the begin of the year training camp, also looking this first international race, the NIPPO Vini Fantini strong point is clear: the group. Lot of aim to emerge, especially from the youngest, but also a great respect of the roles.
Starting from tomorrow the riders will come back to Italy to their standard training, with the certainly of the RCS Wild Cards for the NIPPO Vini Fantini for the Giro d’Italia, for Lombardia and Strade Bianche. In this first important international “stage” the team has prove all his desire to be part of such important races and his know ready to approach with the same attitude all the other races of the calendar.
