This Saturday the team will race the “The Northen classic in the South of Europe”, with more than 52 km among 176 of “Strade Bianche”. At the start many champions from all over the world, for the #OrangeBlue the leader will be Damiano Cunego, supported by Grega Bole, the young Italian talents Iuri Filosi and Antonio Nibali. On Sunday the team will race in Larciano.
Saturday 5th of March the team will race “The Northen classic in the South of Europe”, with start and finish in the city of Siena, passing through 52 km among the toal 176 of “Strade Bianche” in the wonderful Tuscany landscape, the RCS Sport race is one of the most exciting races of the #OrangeBlue calendar.
18 teams at the starting line, 12 team World Tour and 6 Professional teams, with many great riders participating as Peter Sagan, the tricolor Vincenzo Nibali, Greg Van Avermaet, Alejandro Valverde and Mikel Landa. The NIPPO Vini Fantini team will have on the starting line Damiano Cunego, already on the podium of the race in 2011, supported by Grega Bole, that after a great start of the season with a victory and a podium is looking for confirmations. The young Iuri Filosi and Antonio NIbali after a good start of the season in Laigueglia and Lugano are ready to support the team together with the experience of Pierpaolo De Negri and Alessandro Bisolti. To complete the roster also the young and powerful sprinter Eduard Grosu and Riccardo Stacchiotti.
On the team car Stefano Giuliani will be the DS of the race: “In races like this motivations are at the top. I want to thank RCS Sport for the Wild Card, for us will be a long and hard race, also depending from the rain or the wind that, as well as punctures can influence the race. The #OrangeBlue riders are training hard and this will be a key race to discover at what point we are, especially for our young riders.”
On Sunday the team will race also in Larciano for the Gran Premio Industria e Artigianato with a small rotation inside the Line-up.
