Daniele Colli and Damiano Cunego, after the two injuries occurred at the Giro d’Italia 2015 are now recovering and this is a good news that lots of fans was waiting for. Incident occurred with different time and dynamics with different recovery timetable.
Daniele Colli was injured in Castiglione della Pescaia, at the arrival of the sixth stage of the Giro d’Italia, so in the very first begin of the pink competition. The history is well known and while legals are working on legal issues, the very important news for the NIPPO Vini Fantini and the rider is that the recovering to come back to official competitions is going on in a correct way. Long and hard training have yet to come to reach the top of the condition od Daniele, but know he can start to work we’ll and hard on the bike.

A different timing is supposed for Damiano Cunego, the captain of the #OrangeBlue team, that was injured in the 18° stage of the Giro d’Italia while he was in the good escape to win the stage. The fall caused by a drain on the race road caused to him a broken collarbone with recovery time not so fast and easy. Less than one month later (the accident occurred on 28th of May) Damiano Cunego is already on indoor trainers with the pain to the collarbone that is calm down day after day.

The desire of the team, of all fans and first of all of the two riders is to come back as soon as possible to the official competitions. For Daniele Colli the first race should be supposed already in July, in the Trofeo Matteotti, the 19th of May if is training and conditions will go on in the right way, but it is too early for a final confirmation. Damiano Cunego that in July will go to train on mountains is already focus on the second part of the season when the team will be attended by many important races.
