The Tour of China I is #OrangeBlue. Daniele Colli keep the leader jersey thanks to the stage victory of two days ago. For the NIPPO Vini Fantini sprinter is the first final general ranking first position of his career.
Leshan, China. The NIPPO Vini Fantini won the Tour of China I. Six stages very strong that team approached with determination looking for the stage victory at least, but that day after day with lot of determination the team transformed in Tour victories. The yellow jersey of the leader of the Tour is of Daniele Colli since from the 4° stage and has been defended by all the team. A great job of all the team give the chance to the #OrangeBlue rider to win the general ranking.
Mario Manzoni leaded the team on the team car and is very satisfied of his riders attitude: “We start this Tour looking for a stage victory but living nothing behind. We start with a good Time Trial, then we won as much time bonus as possibile to improve our General Ranking position. But the most important stage was the 4° one where Daniele Colli with determination won with an escape. Also this two last stage were really hard to defend the jersey leader. I want to congratulate with the team that demonstrated that working as a team is possibile to reach incredible results.”
Daniel Colli wants to thank all his team mates: “They have been great to work to defend the jersey leader. I’m wearing it in name of all of them, but the Tour of China is won by the NIPPO Vini Fantini team. In a personal level for me his the first General Ranking of my Pro Career. Usually I’m a sprinter, or a fast rider, but to win a general raking like that is a great satisfaction.”
Now a rest day, from Sunday the Tour of China II. Another week of races where the NIPPO Vini fantini team will try to gain other success.
