Giro d’Italia, stage 8 unlucky for the #OrangeBlue team and for Iuri Filosi, that from potential rider for this stage, cause of an Intestinal problem, arrived out of time with Viviani and Van Poppel.
A stage very hard today, with an average speed of more than 43 km per hour, also with the climbs and the dirty roads in which Giacomo Berlato, the Escapeman of the team NIPPO Vini Fantini went inside the daily action, the same of the winner of the day Brambilla (Etixx – Quick Step).
One of the potential riders, for NIPPO Vini Fantini team, today should be Iuri Filosi, but during the night he had intestinal problem that going on also during all the stage. Already if he completes the entire race honoring the Giro d’Italia, he arrived to the finish line out of time with Elia Viviani (Sky) e Van Poppel (Trek – Segafredo).
Sad also Stefano Giuliani: “I believe in Iuri and I was sure that he could make good things in this Giro 2016, and today was one of the possible stages in which he could try to explode his qualities. he had intestinal problem and probably not so much experience to try to stay with the last good group. Anyway he keep strong until the finish line without giving up and honoring as best as possible the Giro stage.”
Tomorrow at the start line in Radda in Chianti for the Individual Time Trial 8 #OrangeBlue riders will be there.
