2nd place for Marco Canola at the Coppa Agostoni, the first race of prestigious Trittico Lombardo. For the rider, already officially on the 15 riders preselected by c.t. Davide Cassani for the next World Championship, this is the 9th podium of the season.

Marco Canola achieved the 2nd place at the end of the final sprint at Coppa Agostoni, the inaugural race of Trittico Lombardo. This result was made by a great Team working, that give the possibility to the #OrangeBlue rider to be in a good position for the final sprint. Already included among the preselected riders by c.t. Davide Cassani for next World Championship in Bergen, Marco Canola appeared motivated, looking forward the tomorrow Coppa Bernocchi.
THE RACE
Ends with a final sprint the Coppa Agostoni 2017, a 199,9km race in Lissone. The first part of the race has been marked by the breakaway made by 7 riders. During the last lap of Lissolo the breakaway closed by the group, and only 2 riders stay in the front of the race. At the -10km to the finish line all the riders was in the group, through the work by#OrangeBlue riders. The final was decided by the sprint. Marco Canola, in a good position thanks to the work made by Alessandro Bisolti and Ivan Santaromita, achieved the 2nd place after Michael Albasini.
THE RIDER
Marco Canola comment at the end of the race: “My goal was the victory also for reach the personal success n.6 of the season. To be in the 15 riders of the Italian pre-selection for the World Championship is yet a great thing, but if I will have the chance to be among the 11 of the final selection, even if in the role of reserve, it will be a great honor. I would like to launch an important signal with a victory and I went really close to this result. This second place comes from a real team-work in particular way in the final part of the race thanks to Alessandro Bisolti and Ivan Santaromita that closed on many attacks, demonstrating to be an important and experienced rider of our team.”
Tomorrow the NIPPO Vini Fantini team will be committed on the Coppa Bernocchi, 2nd important appointment of Trittico Lombardo.
