Back from the injury the #OrangeBlue sprinter is strongly motivated and yet won the first sprint of the Tour of Taihu Lake in front of good competitors as the Italian sprinter Mareczko, the Australian Macanally and the Spanish rider Aberasturi. 2nd succes of the current season for Nicolas Marini, 11th victory of the team in 2017.
Tour of Taihu Lake – stage 1: Wuxi › Wuxi
First in line race of the Chinese competition, after the time-trial prologue of yesterday, and is yet time for a victory of the #OrangeBlue sprinter Nicolas Marini in the Tour of Taihu Lake, that obtain the best result as possibile to reward his teammates great work.
The #OrangeBlue sprinter is the first on the finish line, preceding good competitors such as the Australian rider Ryan Macanally, the Italian Jakub Marezcko (2nd and 3rd) and the Spanish rider Jon Aberasturi (6th), that is always a strong competitor in all the Asian races.
Nicolas Marini is happy for the victory, but still wants to surprise: “I’m happy for the victory and to get immediately the chance to reward my teammates that have been working so good for me today. I wanted a victory as soon as possibile because I’m back from an injury that didn’t give me the chance to race in September. Now I’m really motivated to do my best also in next stages trying to win again. Today my Japanese teammates worked so good to make me win and in the final part of the race Alan Marangoni with his experience drive me perfectly to the final sprint. I want to dedicated this victory to my mom that had a surgery last week and now is feeling better.”.
For Nicolas Marini it is the second seasonal success, after the victory obtained in July in Tour of Qinghai lake. The months of September and October are usually the most important of the #OrangeBlue sprinter, but an injury in the end of August didn’t give him the chance to participate to the races of September. The desire to be back to the victory for him is very high and the NIPPO Vini Fantini team counts on him to improve the number of seasonal victory that anyway are already 11th, reached from United States, to Europe, to Asia.
