Yesterday in Belgium took place the Nokere Koerse and the #orangeBlue have been riding attacking. After closing on the escape of the day, 10 km before the arrival Daniele Colli play his chance to win. Taken less of 4 km to the finish line, the sprint of Eduard Grosu, closing 8th.
The first of the two Belgium races, the Nokere Koerse, has been a good race for the NIPPO Vini Fantini team, with a good 8th place in a race approached with a good attitude by the #OrangeBlue. The Sports Director Stefano Giuliani is happy about the mentality demonstrated.
“Before looking to the result, I’m happy about the attitude of the team. The 8th position of Eduard Grosu is a good signal, but we want and we must do better. Today what I appreciate the most has been the attention and the attitude to read the race looking for a result. The good work in front of the group made by all the riders, from the Japanese champion Kuboki, to Riccardo Stacchiotti, from De Negri to Filosi and Berlato, coming back from the flue. All of them have given to Daniele Colli the chance to try the good action at the end, and then to Grosu to be in the final sprint.”
Here the words of two main #OrangeBlue riders of the race:
Daniele Colli: “We have work hard today, as a team, to be part in the race at this final part of the race. For the sprint we had Eduard Grosu, so I anticipated an action trying to escape when where missing less than 10 km to the end. As usual in Belgium with the wind is hard to make it in a small escape in the final km, but feelings are now good, I feel always better. I can’t wait to try again something on Friday.”
Eduard Grosu: “At the begin of the race we try to get in the escape, but missing this chance we had to work in front of the group to close. Thanks to the team we had the chance, me and Daniele, to take part to the final challenged km. In the last km Stacchiotti has done a good job to keep us with the best riders. The condition is improving and already on Friday I want to improve my performance.
Next race is on Friday, the Handsome Classic, that the all the #OrangeBlue fans could follow on Eurosport 2 starting from 3.00. p.m.
