In the morning the official news of the double renewal with the main sponsor Vini Fantini and with Marco Canola, one of the leaders of the NIPPO Vini Fantini team. This afternoon the podium of Canola in Trofeo Matteotti, a very important race for the team. In Asia good 4th place of Eduard Grosu in Tour of Qinghai Lake.

Week-end full of emotions for the NIPPO Vini Fantini. This Sunday morning the official news of the renewal with the main sponsor Vini Fantini and Marco Canola one of the most important rider and leader of the team. A renewal that gives a strong motivation to him that today reached immediately the podium in Trofeo Matteotti a very important race for the team.
THE RACE.
A breakaway of 4 riders went out since the first lap, with NIPPO Vini Fantini working to close the gap. A very good job has been made by Alan Marangoni working for long time for his teammates. Breakaway closed 3 laps before the finish-line, with several single attacks. On the last climb an action of Ciccone (Bardiani) followed by few riders, among them Gavazzi (Androni) and Canola. The group comes back on them for the final sprint and again Marco Canola, together with his teammate Pierpaolo De Negri, tried to win it. For Marco Canola a very good third place that means podium of the day, with few regrets.
THE RIDER.
These the words of Marco Canola after the finish-line: “Yes there is some little regrets because maybe I should save some energy without going back to the action on the last climb. But it is always easier to think it about after the race. We just come back from the altitude training and it was not easy to understand in race how much energies we still have. Anyway I’m very happy both for the renewal and for the podium. In August we will have very important races in calendar and as a team we can do good things.”

The NIPPO Vini Fantini is also racing in Asia in the Tour of Qinghai Lake. Today the first stage with sprint arrival. Eduard Grosu is the best among #OrangeBlue with a final 4th place, after a very long sprint, probably started a little bit too early.
