Determination, desire of payback all the unlucky moments of the season and happiness for the victory. All this and much more is in the final meters of the today sprint, with the great work of the team before to put Eduard Grosu in the perfect position to take his victory.
A great personal satisfaction for him, also thinking back to the final stage of the Giro d’Italia were he miss the victory in last meters.
Today Grosu took is revenge and payback to all the unlucky moments of the season:
“I really want to thank all the team. To describe the good job they made there is only one word: perfect!
I want to dedicate this victory in a special way to my friend and team-mate Riccardo Stacchiotti and to the Sports Director Stefano Giuliani that have been supporting me for all the season. Few stages remains and as a team we can do other good things.
From a personal point of view I’m also looking to last stage, that will not be an easy one, and in my opinion some changes in the General Ranking are still possibile.”
A general ranking with Eduard Grosu in 10th position, just 45 seconds behind the leader. Just finished the fifth stage, where also Genki Yamamoto made a good job in the breakaway of the day, the team is already looking forward to next important stages.
