Special guests, lessons organized by the University of Chieti, medical examinations with the collaboration of Val di Sangro Laboratory and training sessions. During the 10 days of training camp, Hotel Dragonara (San Giovanni Teatino) will be the headquarter of NIPPO Vini Fantini.
The “behind the scene” of the official presentation as well as the team training camp have their headquarter: Hotel Dragonara (San Giovanni Teatino – CH) owned by Walter and Maurizio di Francesco, great sports and cycling world lovers. During the days close to the official presentation, the journalists of important italian and international newspapers and a lot of special guests had the chance to stay in the hotel and bike with the athletes of the team. In these days, there also have been hard training sessions, medical examinations and lessons for the riders of the #BlueMountain team. The 6th day of training camp is very important, because the athletes are deepened in their physical training in order to perform in season 2015.
#A USUAL DAY
A usual #OrangeBlue day starts with the measurement of weight and blood pressure by the team doctors and it follows with guided training sessions by the sports director: Stefano Giuliani and Mario Manzoni, assisted by Gianni Tendola. Once they are back to the Hotel, the riders have lunch and then, they start their daily massage sessions and also medical examinations carried out by the University of Chieti, that will supervise the athletes for the whole season, with the help of the department of Sports Medicine.
Before and after dinner the riders have a rest, but they have the chance to participate to interesting lessons as well. Stefania Leva (nutritionist) gives them some diet notions, whereas, Professor Ripari explains the results of the examinations with his team from the University of Chieti. The day after, the riders are ready to start again with analysis and tests held by Doctor Cocco (Val di Sangro Laboratory). After that, they face the daily training session.
#MOOD & TEAM
the days are characterized by intense efforts that only a united and passionate team can face. The positive mood noticed by the guests is real and visible. All the team members want to do their best from now. In fact, from Thursday 15th, the team will split in two groups in view of the first competition.
#SAN LUIS TOUR
San Luis Tour is coming. The first appointment of NIPPO Vini Fantini will be on Monday 19th – January. Athletes and staff will be divided in two groups. Pozzo, Yamamoto, Grosu, Marini, Stacchiotti e Berlato will fly to Argentina on Thursday 15th. It will be up to them to liven up San Luis Tour stages, for all the team NIPPO Vini Fantini. For the rest of the team the training camp will last until January 18th.
