Tour of China I – stage 4.
Third place by Damiano Cima in the fourth stage of the Tour of China. A short stage, just 70km but very strong both from the point of view of altitude and for the race dynamics. A good stage podium that also earned him the third place in the overall standings 12 seconds behind the leader, the other Italian Jacopo Mosca. In today’s stage, good top 10 also for the #OrangeBlue traineeHayato Okamoto, the best Asian rider to cross the finish line of the day.
THE RACE.
A very short stage of about 70km very busy both for the race route that did not provide for plains, both for the extremely high pace. Stage characterized by an escape lead by Kevin Rivera and the pursuit of the group led by the team of the leader the Manzana Postobon. In the final shots and counter-shots with a great job by Alan Marangoni in closing that allowed the teammates Damiano Cima and Hayato Okamoto to try the sprint, even if Jacopo Mosca and Sam Crowe where able to anticipate the group sprint. For the 2 #OrangeBlue riders is group sprint with a final 3rd and 10th place and with the group sprint behind the leaders in fact won by Damiano Cima
